Celebrate everything

That’s one of my mottos for life; it makes for a rich family culture and lots of chances for yummy food. Tonight B. and the kids made this special surprise for dessert–an angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. This is my most favorite of all desserts, and the angel food cake mix from Gluten-Free Pantry is superb.

The occasion? My first day of graduate school, successfully completed. Cheers and strawberry smiles all around.

  1. Congrats on your first day of graduate school! How was it?

The dessert looks yummy! I have yet to try GF angel food cake mix. I have been tempted to make strawberry shortcake though because of all the strawberries in the grocery stores. I think I will make it for our Easter dessert this Sunday.

  2. Hi Amber! Today was an orientation day where I met my cohort, my professors, and my advisors, began to get a grasp on the schedule (complicated), and bought some of my books.

Nothing sounds more perfect for Easter than strawberry shortcake! Well, maybe a french apple cake. That’s what I’m going to try–we’ll see how it goes.

  3. Congratulations! So proud of you for starting graduate school – by all means, of course it’s a cause for celebration!
