Pacific Madrone trees
These are some of my favorite trees in the world, and on my walks I regularly pass beautiful specimens. I get to see them peeling into all sorts of amazing colors, smooth and rough at the same time, each one in a different stage of shedding. Here’s a stand I passed today on Sportsman Club Road:
